Four months prior to their marriage in February of 1978, Cliff Relyea became a Christian by the grace of God; through the faithful witness of his bride to be, Beverly. Having never been in church as an adult, Cliff began attending Grace Community Church of Sun Valley in November of 1977. While sitting under the pulpit instruction of John MacArthur for sixteen years, Cliff was given a solid theological foundation and many opportunities for ministry using the word of God. Serving as a superintendent for 400 students and 85 teachers, he taught five-year-olds for nine years. During that time he and Beverly developed a marriage counseling ministry, a weekly home Bible study and served as deacon and deaconess at Grace Community Church.

Cliff has served as an elder in two other churches while continuing the weekly practice of home Bible study, discipleship and building up the body of Christ through the practical instruction of God's word. His wife, Beverly, has faithfully served at his side by maintaining a Christ honoring home which has blessed all who came there for fellowship, worship and instruction in the Word. In March of 2003 they returned to Grace Community Church where they are enjoying worship, fellowship and serving the body in the name of Christ. The concept of "Staying in the Word" is being used to give birth to this very effective medium of communication for the edification of the saints and the building up of the body of Christ.
