V. 1 ** How does the apostle Paul view himself?

As a "bond-servant" and an "apostle"

"doulos" willing slave or servant of God
"apostolos" messenger or sent one of Jesus Christ

** "For" whose benefit was he writing to Titus?

"...for the faith of those chosen of God and the knowledge of the truth which is according to godliness." cf. 1Timothy 2:3-4

V. 2 ** What is the constantly abiding hope in which Paul existed?

"...the hope of eternal life..."

** By whom and when was that promised?"

"...which God...promised long ago..." cf. 2Timothy 1:9, Ephesians 1:3-4, Romans 1:1-2

** How do we know that God's promise is good?

Our God "cannot lie"! cf. Hebrews 6:17-18, Numberes 23:19

V. 3 ** When was this eternal life manifested?

"...at the proper time..."

** By what vehicle was this eternal life made known?

"...even His word..."

** How did Paul end up being entrusted with the proclamation of the word of God?

"...according to the commandment of God our Savior"
