INVESTIGATE

V. 1 ** As he opens our passage for today, is Paul trying to insult the Galatians?

No, the word he uses for "foolish" [anoetos] means "not understanding". Used only six times in the New Testament, this word does not connote mental deficiency but mental laziness and carelessness. Paul is rightfully astonished by what the Galatians had done.
