Chapter Two, Lesson Two
REJECTING THE TRUTH Page
V.11 ** So at the end of verse eleven, what is the
reason for God allowing these false wonders?
...so that they might believe what is false... cf. 2Timothy
** According to this verse how far is God willing to go to mislead these
people who have no love for His truth?
For this reason God will send upon them a deluding influence...
Because they did not love His saving truth regarding faith in Jesus
Christ alone for salvation, God actually designs a deluding influence
through the person of the antichrist.
** That creates an immediate problem in our thinking, when we compare

any to perish but for all to come to repentance. How is this possible?
God is willing for all men to be saved, sinful MEN on the other hand,
are not willing to be saved. Mankind has the option and prerogative
to refuse the grace of God unto salvation.
cf. Matthew 23:37
V.12 ** What is God going to accomplish through all of this?
...in order that they all may be judged... One of the
most important attributes of God is the fact that He is a "just"
God. And while he takes no pleasure in the death of the wicked, He will
be glorified in handing out justice to those who reject His Son.
cf. Ezekiel 33:11, Psalm 89:14, Romans 3:25-26
** What is the specific reason for God judging the lost given here in
Because they did not believe the truth. It all comes down
to the reality that there is only one
truth, and what a person does with that truth determines their eternal
** To make matter worse, while rejecting the truth, from where do the
lost derive their pleasure?
...in wickedness. Not only is this the source of mankinds
pleasure, but they give hearty approval of those who share their passions.
cf. Romans 1:32
